Can someone suggest a good starting pool for 24TB?

#1

I’ve looked around and I would appreciate a recommendation so that I don’t have to figure out the best from 100 pools.

Thanks,
Paul

Your right there are so many pools to choose from! I have mined on about 4 different ones and the important things i would reccomend to consider are-1. accepted deadlines (the cutoff that the pool will accept a found deadline and still include it in the historic share category), 2. deadline confirmation (when you find a deadline and submit it, how quickly the pool confirms and counts it), and 3. the commitment to maintenance/responsiveness by the pool owner. 4. Try to find a pool that you will always find a deadline every block (less TB’s mean you find longer deadlines on average).
I have recently switched to a 0-100 pool, which means that there is no individual reward for finding a block, only historic. This should be the fairest representation of payout of all pools, the downside is that the current pool i am on has a 30 day build up, so will take longer to get to your proper average payout. The upside is if/when you leave the pool you will still get paid out a percentage for up to 30 days, even while mining on another pool. http://0-100.burst-team.us:8080/
This is the pool i currently mine on and enjoy it so far, it is having some technical difficulties at the moment(these seem to be fixed now) - but the admin is super committed.

It appears down right now. That’s not a good sign.

Hmmm

#4

The pool is not down - what issue are you seeing ?

You are including the :8080 ?

#5

http://0-100.burst-team.us:8080/
Cloudflare is reporting site down. 502 bad gateway

I should be using a web browser to start right? this isn’t the pool address for the miner?

#6

I am getting so tired of this with CloudFlare … try again now.

This would be how to set up miner config file (if your using Blago)

Thank you @Haitch, do you maintain 0-100.burst-team.us?

Thanks @jaxblack. I’m going to work on setting this up tonight.

Yes, the 0-100.burst-team.us pool is one of mine, as is anything *.burst-team.us. 0-100 is having issues with CF where it’ll start rejecting connections from random locations around the world.

#10

And now I’m mining with the best. I just saw my name show up on the dashboard. Very cool!

Thanks all,
Paul

#11

.us as in “us” not USA, he is very sensitive about that :innocent:

#12

LMAO - not that sensitive, just trying to clarify the misunderstanding …

@Jam1 @Haitch

  • I believe the owner of the pool is Haitch here in copy at least that is what he said here in the thread.

  • The pool fee today is 1.0% at least that is what is posted on the site

  • I cannot speak to the rest maybe Haitch can chime in with the rest.
