Hello! Anyone here that can help me with 1-2 coins to start?

Hi everybody, burst starter here. I’d appreciate if you can send me 1 or 2 coins to start with.

I want to setup a miner for a pool (using ver 1.9!), but apparently in order to setup and reward recepient I need 1 coin.
After that, if I had a 2nd coin, I’d use it to set a name for the miner, although that is not the priority.

Thanks in advance and happy bursting to all!

Good luck with 1.9…the developers do not recommend using it at all right now

Sending over a coin, welcome!

Read the information below carefully, because this is the only coin I’m sending you  With the amount of coins I am giving out daily now, I’m trying to get people to conserve coins when starting off so I can help out more people. If possible, please help out any new person needing a coin. Donations are also welcome to help me start new people off  BURST-FFLQ-3QZJ-267R-F3QBX

---- Getting Started Read Below Before Continuing ----

Contrary to what most of the getting started guides say, you only need to create one transaction to “activate” your wallet. Changing your reward recipient to a pool for mining gets this done. Please read this post regarding activating your account - What It Means To Create Your Public Key (AKA “Activate” Your Account) - Simply Explained

Highly recommend https://0-100-pool.burst.cryptoguru.org/ and http://www.burstneon.com/ pools for new miners!

Thanks ryanw. Both the coin and info are well appreciated! and I’ll check into getting an older version; I had the impression that everybody are hyped about that new ver 1.9, but I guess I was wrong. They tricked me too!

1.9 is the development version…currently being worked on. If you are adventurous, by all means try it out, but you most likely will have issues.

You will need wallet version 1.3.6cg
For Windows Use Qbundle - http://burstwallet.io/windows-one-wallets/cg-burst-wallet-launcher-windows/
For Linux - https://package.cryptoguru.org/

So… last night when I downloaded and installed the 1.9, I also got the blockchain file downloaded and imported it. As far as that file, it doesn’t matter which version I’m importing it into, and it’ll still work for me w/ the 1.3.6cg… right?

Actually… wait a sec. I seem to missunderstood; My platform says: ‘Qbundle v1.9 | Burstcoin Wallet v1.3.6cg’ up top on the title bar.
So - do I have the right thing or not? Since both numbers are mentioned in that top title bar of it…

Ohh haha

Ok, let me explain my confusion.

The Burst core wallet software has a 1.9.1 version right now that is the precursor to the 2.0.0 release soon.

Qbundle is the Windows Burst wallet manager…that is also right now 1.9.

So, sorry for confusing you, move along, nothing to see here

Qbundle 1.9 with Burstcoin Wallet 1.3.6cg is the correct software.

Thanks. And since we’re already at it; for some reason, already AFTER I set the reward recipient - when I came to check again and set the pool info - it won’t let me choose the radio button of ‘pool’; the radio button of ‘solo’ is checked, and both radio buttons are greyed out for me… and yet somehow it would still let me insert info in the fields of the pool info… any idea what’s happening there?

It takes about 4 blocks for your reward recipient to be validated. So… 15-20 minutes unless we have weird blocktimes. Also, your wallet has to be synced.

Haha I just checked on it again and imported my plot file, and it showed as not greyed out anymore… by the time I came back here to let you know - you already replied. Good calls!
