Plot refers to the data (file) stored in the hard disk by miners. Plot consists of a large number of hashes, in which Plot contains several concepts:
Shabal256: This is the hash algorithm used in Burst mining. Compared with BTC’s SHA256, Shabal256 requires longer calculation time and workload. The advantage of Shabal256 is that the miners do not need to perform hash calculation during mining, so the verification process is relatively fast. Meanwhile, Shabal256 also prevents cheating (that is, it prevents the miners from temporarily calculating the required hash value instead of the stored hash value during each block extraction stage).
Nonce: This is the basic unit of Plot file, which is the basic logic unit for miners to participate in the mining process. It has a fixed number and consists of 256KB of data.
Scoop: Each of the 4,096 Scoop files can form a Nonce file, which, like the Nonce, has a serial number (Scoop is numbered 0 to 4095).Each Scoop contains two hash values, that is, a Nonce file contains 8,192 hash values.
