Unable to get reward recipient status with selected wallet

#1

Hello All,

I am currently setting my machine to mine for burst. I downloaded QBundle and blockchain. QBundle says that block chain is fully synchronized and running. However, I am facing a problem in adding reward recipient to cryptoguru pool. I am getting an error “Unable to get reward recipient status with selected wallet.” My Burst address is BURST-RJ9H-SYMS-YDKG-8AES6. Could someone help me in fixing this issue? I did not run the plotting yet. Do I need to do it first before adding reward recipient? I am interested in mining pools only at this point. I tried an online wallet address also, but I am getting the same error.

Thank you.

It looks like you have already found a coin! Welcome to the forum, and good luck!

You do not need to plot before setting reward recipient…you can do this at any time.

Contrary to what most of the getting started guides say, you only need to create one transaction to “activate” your wallet. Changing your reward recipient to a pool for mining gets this done. Please read this post regarding activating your account - What It Means To Create Your Public Key (AKA “Activate” Your Account) - Simply Explained

Pools for new and low terabyte miners

Highly recommend https://0-100-pool.burst.cryptoguru.org/ and http://www.burstneon.com/ pools for new miners with under 24TB!

Helping out new users

I am also looking for people to join in on helping new users get their first coin on the forum. If you want to contribute, but don’t want to be searching for new people, I run a fund that is solely used to send new users their starting coin. I am very frugal with this fund, and make sure everything is put to good use. The address for this fund is BURST-FFLQ-3QZJ-267R-F3QBX

Thank you my friend. I could change the reward recipient to cryptoguru after getting a donation. I added 100G to start. Do you know where I can check the proof of capacity and potential earnings?

Earnings for 100GB right now will be about 0.1 Burst per day long term average. Unfortunately, that is not much. You can calculate earnings on estimating about 1 Burst per terabyte of space per day.
