What is going on with linux suport?

#1

i am just starting to get into this coin as it is some thing i can mine and support with the hardware i have. i run a computer repair shop and have tons of still good but older computers and think i can spin up a nice pool mining rig for little over head and only a few pci sata cards i need to buy. but my issues is i see ref to linux software but links are dead or documentation is unclear. for now i did spin up windows 10 on a computer and grab qbundle to get started and have had no issues with that. if some one can point me in the right direction cuz i have to of missed something in my 1st day of research. thanks for your help and look forward to being apart of this community

Hi russellcomserv
I use Linux to host with.
The only opensource pool software i know of that is poc2 compatible is https://github.com/PoC-Consortium/goburstpool
I have hosted this on ubuntu succesfully
For mining i use Creepminer also on ubuntu.

For mining you will need ti create the config file.
Here is an example

{
    "logging" : {
        "config" : "information",
        "general" : "information",
        "logfile" : true,
        "miner" : "information",
        "nonceSubmitter" : "information",
        "output" : {
            "dirDone" : true,
            "lastWinner" : true,
            "nonceConfirmed" : true,
            "nonceFound" : true,
            "nonceFoundTooHigh" : false,
            "nonceSent" : true,
            "plotDone" : false
        },
        "outputType" : "terminal",
        "path" : "/home/ubuntu/.creepMiner/1.7.18/logs/",

Mining on Ubuntu a basic rundown
#4

thanks this is excellent. i get the plot files and credentials i should edit but the urls not sure what that relates to. i am an old bitcoin and light coin miner those days were um primitive and some parts of the new altcoins give me issues.
